Getting here

There are several ways to get to Nancy:

Plane

Nancy itself has only private airports and the Lorraine Aéroport does not serve many destinations. There are two other airports quite near: Lux-Airport and Aéroport de Strasbourg. Furthermore there are regular train connections to Paris Charles de Gaulle.

When booking a flight to Paris Chales de Gaulle and then the train to Nancy, please note, that "Metz/Nancy (XZI)" is the airport code for the train station "TGV Lorraine", which lies between Metz and Nancy (see list of IATA-indexed railway stations). Therefore you will need an additional ticket for the bus from "TGV Lorraine" to "Nancy Ville", which you can get at sncf-connect.com.

Lux-Airport

In front of the Airport there is a bus stop bringing you to the train station (Bus 29). The ride is free (as are all public means of transport in Luxembourg) and lasts 30 minutes. Further information on the buses can be found here.

From the train station Luxembourg there are regular connections to Nancy. Please note that you will need a ticket from Bettembourg, as the train is free within Luxembourg. You can book tickets in advance at sncf-connect.com.

There are other direct busses between the airport and Nancy. However, they do not operate regularly and we do not recommend them.

Aéroport de Strasbourg

There is a train station at the airport. The trains takes 9 minutes from the airport to the main station. Further information can be found here.

From the train station Strasbourg there are regular connections to Nancy. You can book tickets in advance at sncf-connect.com.

Aéroport Charles de Gaulle

From the train station at terminal 2 there are regular connections to TGV Lorraine. From there you get by bus to Nancy. Tickets for the whole trip can be booked in advance at sncf-connect.com.

Train

The train station of Nancy is on the old line between Strasbourg and Paris. From Paris it can be reached by TGV. From all other directions there are regular connections. Good tools for finding connections from your hometown to Nancy can be found with the Reiseauskunft or SCOTTY.

From the train station

In order to arrive at the campus from the train station take the line "Tempo 1", a trolleybus, in direction "VANDŒUVRE
Brabois-Hôpitaux"  and get off at "Vélodrome Callot". A detailed map of the network can be found here.

Tickets can be bought at the service center at the train station. Alternatively one can use the NéMO App. Public means of transport are free in Nancy on Saturndays and Sundays.

On the campus

A detailed map of the campus is here. Unfortunately the stops are there with their old names and if you get off at "Vélodrome" it's actually "Vélodrome Callot" and there is only one stop for the trolleybus on the north side (left on the map).

The conference takes place in "Amphi 8" of the building "Victor Grignard" (the yellow one on the map). You can enter the building via entrances 8C or 9C. A detailed map of the building can be found here.
